THE BLONDE MODEL IS 5'9 AND WEARS SIZE XS. SHE IS A SIZE 4
THE BRUNETTE MODEL IS 5'4 AND WEARS THE L/XL. SHE IS SIZE 14.
The #linearMOVEMAXI has many ways to wear depending how one utilizes the adjustable drawstrings. When uncinched at the shoulders and waist, the MOVE has a wider, flowy feel to it. If you like the roominess, but want some drama, cinch the sleeves by pulling on the drawstring a few times and then pushing the toggle up towards your upper shoulder.
Bring structure to your silhouette by pulling the drawstrings at the waist which are located inside the MOVE. Don't forget the adjust the gathered
fabric at the back to your liking.
This style is perfect to wear over anything..or alone. It's the perfect jacket to throw on before, during or after a workout (it has the feel of a parka, but as light as silk). Or, take it to the beach to toss over your bathing suit! Worn alone, this style is the perfect dress to wear with sandals all summer long!
Additional fun features include-
-2 way zipper (Nursing and maternity friendly!)
-Water repellent fabric (Moisture beads right off of it. We aren't telling you to jump in the pool in it, but if you spill your coffee or water, it wipes off very easily!)
-POCKETS (you know you need/want 'em!)
FIT ON THIS STYLE- Based on many customer try ons, the overall consensus was that if you were in between sizes on the chart (especially for XS and S/M), opt more for the LENGTH option you prefer and the 'drama' you want for gathering the fabric when the style is cinched. For example, the XS and S/M both fit a size 8 customer well, but as she was petite (5'2), she opted for the XS. Another customer who was also size 8, and 5'5, went for the S/M as she preferred the longer length (see measurement chart below) and slightly more oversized (but not tent-like) look and the added drama of the draping when the gament was cinched. If you have broad shoulders/longer arms, opt for the the correct/bigger size on the chart if you plan on cinching the drawstrings at the sleeves.
SIZE CHART
XS- 0/2/4/6/small 8
(THIS OPTION IS GREAT FOR PETITE FRAMES. IT WONT HAVE AS MUCH OF A DRAMATIC GATHERED EFFECT WHEN CINCHED AT WAIST FOR A SIZE 8, BUT WILL STILL FIT VERY WELL UNCINCHED)
S/M- 6/8/10/small12
(IF YOU OVERLAP BETWEEN THIS SIZE AND EXTRA SMALL AND WANT THE CLASSIC INTENDED FIT AND PREFER THE LENGTH, CHOOSE THIS SIZE.)
L/XL- 12/14/16/18/small20
(THIS SIZE WILL BE LESS DRAMATIC WHEN CINCHED ON SIZE 20, BUT WILL FIT UNCINCHED ON SIZE 20)
MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS STYLE ARE TAKEN WHEN SLEEVES AND WAIST ARE NOT CINCHED. IT HAS BEEN MEASURED ON A FLAT SURFACE. DOUBLE THE NUMBER FOR FULL CIRCUMFERENCE (but do not double for length). SLEEVE LENGTH IS MEASURED FROM 'HPS' (where the shoulder meets neckline down to the wrist) ZIPPER LENGTH STARTS FROM THE TOP OF THE COLLAR TO WHERE IT STOPS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE GARMENT (slightly above the length of the #linearMOVE)
GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR MEASUREMENTS:
LENGTHS- Place a measuring tape at the center point of one of your shoulders (Also known as HPS- High Point Shoulder). The '0' (zero) on the tape should be your starting point. Drop the tape and let it hang. It helps to look in a full length mirror to determine the length that suits you (If you prefer above, on or below the knee). For reference, average lengths (depending on your height) fall between 37-41inches on size XS. Since everyone's torso/leg lengths are different (even if two people are the same height), coverage length can never be exact. For all styles, we list the approximate lengths of our dresses measured from HPS. Please check the lengths to see if they work for you.
WIDTHS: Chest- Position the '0' (zero) of the measuring tape underneath one armpit aligning it as much as possible with the center part of your bust. Wrap around the circumference of your chest area until the tape matches point zero from the backside. Keep in mind that knits (stretchy styles) can accommodate widths that are broader than the listed dimensions due to fabric forgiveness, while wovens (fabric with minimal or no stretch) will only 'give' to a certain point. Usually, patterns are adjusted to work for sizing when the fabric is woven.
Hips- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start at the widest point of hips.
Arms- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start under armpit and measure around biceps. For arm length, measurements on the caftan are taken from the HPS (where the shoulder meets the neckline) down to the end of the sleeve.
