    IT'S A CINCH!  SHIRRly you'll want to know about all the incredible ways we made this linear look a cut above the rest. Let's start from the top (literELLEy). If you want to create some drama on this dress, simply cinch! Give 'em the 'cool shoulder' when you tighten the drawstrings at the sleeve for some extra flair (you'll most definitELLEy take a 'bow' for this one). We added shirring in at the front and back 'yolk' (the pattern piece that accentuates the neckline) and finished it off at the billowy sleeve cuffs.  Want to add structure to your silhouette? Try adding the matching bELLEt (belt, if that was too 'punny' to read). Needless to say, this option will make you feel more 'pulled together' (hehehe).

    FIT NOTES/ SIZE GUIDE

    This a-line style is flowy and can accomodate multiple sizes because of its adjustable sleeves (runs bigger than other linear styles, but drapes beautifully!). Sizing is based on length of dress and  sleeves as well as width by neckline,chest and sleeve cuff opening. If you are between sizes on the chart, you can definitely size down if you want it shorter/less flowy in the body. Stay with your true size for maternity so you'll have room to grow! Based on customer try-ons, petites who were somewhat in the M (8/10) sizing still opted for the XS/S because of length. 

    XS/S- 0/2/4/6/8 (great for petite frames)
    M/L- 8/10/12/14
    XL(PLUS)- 16/18/20/22

    STANDOUT FEATURES OF THE ELLE
    -TAKE A BOW- The drawstring sleeve detail means you can adjust the shoulder for a cool pleated effect. Just make sure to finish off with a bow (both kinds)!
    RUFFLES!!- On the Victorian collar as well as the bottom half of the frock. The ruffled tiers really give the dress a bit of controled weight (dont worry, its not heavy) that helps the overall style settle nicely instead of looking like a tent (hehe).

    LENGTH/WIDTH GUIDE: Approximate lengths from shoulder to front hem at its shortest point. All measurements are taken when dress is on a flat surface and the sleeves are not cinched. Approximate chest/hips measurements are measured across. Double for complete circumference.

    GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR MEASUREMENTS:

    LENGTHS- Place a measuring tape at the center point of one of your shoulders (Also known as HPS- High Point Shoulder). The '0' (zero) on the tape should be your starting point. Drop the tape and let it hang. It helps to look in a full length mirror to determine the length that suits you (If you prefer above, on or below the knee). For reference, average lengths (depending on your height) fall between 37-41inches on size XS. Since everyone's torso/leg lengths are different (even if two people are the same height), coverage length can never be exact. For all styles, we list the approximate lengths of our dresses measured from HPS. Please check the lengths to see if they work for you.

    WIDTHS: Chest- Position the '0' (zero) of the measuring tape underneath one armpit aligning it   as much as possible with the center part of your bust. Wrap around the circumference of your chest area until the tape matches point zero from the backside. Keep in mind that knits (stretchy styles) can accommodate widths that are broader than the listed dimensions due to fabric forgiveness, while wovens (fabric with minimal or no stretch) will only 'give' to a certain point. Usually, patterns are adjusted to work for sizing when the fabric is woven.

    HIPS- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start at the widest point of hips.

    ARMS- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start under armpit and measure around biceps. For arm length, measurements are taken from the HPS (where the shoulder meets the neckline) down to the end of the sleeve.

If you received your order by mail, simply return the item(s) at your own expense and your order will be refunded. If items are returned with any signs of alteration, wear, washing or damage, the item(s) will be returned to the customer at their own shipping expense. We reserve the right to place a 10-25% restocking fee on any returned merchandise that does not meet our return qualifications. The customer will be notified if this is the case and the percentage deducted based on the individual situation.

    WHAT IF THE WRONG ITEM IS SENT OR HAS A DEFECT?

Please include a note with the name,email used at the time of your order and mention of the error so we can process it correctly. We will reimburse your original shipping fee once returned and will immediately send out the correct item to you.

    Unfortunately, we can not process exchanges through our site. You can reorder the item you choose (at any time) in the size/color of your preference based on stock availability on this site. You may return your orginal order (at your own expense within the return time frame) and will be refunded once it has been received.
