FIT NOTES/ SIZE GUIDE

This a-line style is flowy and can accomodate multiple sizes because of its adjustable sleeves (runs bigger than other linear styles, but drapes beautifully!). Sizing is based on length of dress and  sleeves as well as width by neckline,chest and sleeve cuff opening. If you are between sizes on the chart, you can definitely size down if you want it shorter/less flowy in the body. Stay with your true size for maternity so you'll have room to grow! Based on customer try-ons, petites who were somewhat in the M (8/10) sizing still opted for the XS/S because of length. 

XS/S- 0/2/4/6/8 (great for petite frames)
M/L- 8/10/12/14
XL(PLUS)- 16/18/20/22

STANDOUT FEATURES OF THE ELLE
-TAKE A BOW- The drawstring sleeve detail means you can adjust the shoulder for a cool pleated effect. Just make sure to finish off with a bow (both kinds)!
RUFFLES!!- On the Victorian collar as well as the bottom half of the frock. The ruffled tiers really give the dress a bit of controled weight (dont worry, its not heavy) that helps the overall style settle nicely instead of looking like a tent (hehe).
-SHIRRING!!- It's all over this garment and really helps with the draping of the dress. Think the front has got it all? There's drama in the back enough to make a grand exit!
-BELT- The matching belt can be tied in a knot, or can be can be double wrapped as a second style option
-POCKETS (you know you need them) !!!
-FABRIC- The satin finish with embossed leopard print really ELLEvates the look making it dressy enough for your fanciest event (unless you're the bride,lol)
-ZIPPER - it's front facing so you can easily adjust the neckline based on your modest preferences...and it's nursing friendly too!

LENGTH/WIDTH GUIDE: Approximate lengths from shoulder to front hem at its shortest point. All measurements are taken when dress is on a flat surface and the sleeves are not cinched. Approximate chest/hips measurements are measured across. Double for complete circumference

GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR MEASUREMENTS:

LENGTHS- Place a measuring tape at the center point of one of your shoulders (Also known as HPS- High Point Shoulder). The '0' (zero) on the tape should be your starting point. Drop the tape and let it hang. It helps to look in a full length mirror to determine the length that suits you (If you prefer above, on or below the knee). For reference, average lengths (depending on your height) fall between 37-41inches on size XS. Since everyone's torso/leg lengths are different (even if two people are the same height), coverage length can never be exact. For all styles, we list the approximate lengths of our dresses measured from HPS. Please check the lengths to see if they work for you.

WIDTHS: Chest- Position the '0' (zero) of the measuring tape underneath one armpit aligning it      as much as possible with the center part of your bust. Wrap around the circumference of your chest area until the tape matches point zero from the backside. Keep in mind that knits (stretchy styles) can accommodate widths that are broader than the listed dimensions due to fabric forgiveness, while wovens (fabric with minimal or no stretch) will only 'give' to a certain point. Usually, patterns are adjusted to work for sizing when the fabric is woven.

 Hips- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start at the widest point of hips.

Arms- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start under armpit and measure around biceps. For arm length, measurements on the caftan are taken from the HPS (where the shoulder meets the neckline) down to the end of the sleeve.

RETURNS

You will have 14 DAYS from when you received your order (based on tracking info) to make a return. Any returns recieved after that date will be sent back to the customer at the customer's expense.

-All styles that are marked 40% off or more are final sale and are non returnable. Sale styles purchased with a special promo code are also final sale.

We will gladly accept returns on all items that have not been altered, worn, damaged or washed. If you received your order by mail, simply return the item(s) at your own expense and your order will be refunded. If items are returned with any signs of alteration, wear, washing or damage, the item(s) will be returned to the customer at their own shipping expense.
